Our Speakers
Pastor Kory Mears served as a missionary in the Fiji Islands for 23 years where he oversaw the planting of several Baptist churches. He moved back to the US in November 2018 to become the Pastor of the Church where he trusted in Christ, Apple Valley Baptist Church in Wenatchee, Washington.
In 2000, Matt and Cathy moved to Malawi, Africa where they founded several Baptist Churches along with the Chisomo Bible Institute. As they worked throughout Southern Africa, they were confronted with obstacles that many in first world countries rarely face. During their time there they witnessed medical emergencies, experienced security threats, and dealt with tropical diseases.
Shannon Scott’s journey of preaching the Gospel began with his call to preach on November 26, 1995. From there it was a slow start, as he was unsure of what the Lord would have him do. It was volunteering to go with a group to preach in prisons, which opened the door to missions for him. From there, his travels took him to California in 2000 to start a prison ministry. It also opened the door to missions journeys to various destinations around the world. Each trip opened his eyes to the wonderful, influential, and inspiring world of missions.
